ebay is currently listing an Attard village cancel

Just looking at the cancel didn't look right - i am pretty sure the type setting could not have been so crude, with the large spaces around the ATT and closed up RD.. or could it?

It also looks quite large on the stamp but Trory does list this as a 23mm

In an attempt to find further examples for comparison i found the below Illustrative cancel on my computer, i am not sure exactly where i got it from but it does bare an uncanny resemblance to the one applied on the ebay stamp :

I did actually purchase the above item for reference, the CDS measures the correct 23mm diameter.

A non member has sent me information of a similar purchase with same datestamp but on the 10s value. This item was also purchased on ebay and from the same ebay seller.

It does seem very coincidental that these two items have the identical date as the proof sample and  would appear the CDS has been forged. Of course the seller may be completely innocent and unaware and as such i am not disclosing any references to the ebay seller.. but you may want to be wary of other similar examples bearing an Attard Sp 10 09 cancel... or are they genuine?
